Welcome to the information pages about the Women's Bridge Festival presented by the World Bridge Federation and BBO, created by Anna Maria Torlontano, chairman of the WBF Women’s Committee, with the technical organisation by Vincenzo Delle Cave BBO Italy. |

There will be 4 daily tournaments: 2 pairs tournaments alternating with 2 individual tournaments. It is possible to participate in the pairs tournements with different partners, in other words it is not necessary to play all the pairs tournaments with same partner. The Festival will last one week, from 7th – 13th April 2008 and will include a total of 28 tournaments at the following times: 11:00 - 16:00 - 21:40 - 01:00 hours This schedule is based on Italian local-time and so times will vary in other time-zones. To participate having the BBO’s software installed on your pc is mandatory.
Participation in these tournaments is restricted to those women players who enrol in the Festival on line by filling out the special enrolment form not later than one day before the beginning date of the Festival.
The entry fee is fixed at $1 (the standard fee for all the normal BBO pay tournaments). |

10 boards will be played in each tournament.To see the rankings of all the tournaments, the score sheets of the hands and the "bridge movie" (the bidding/play history for a deal) of each hand click on the BBO Website. No kibitzers will be allowed during the tournaments. |

BBO Master Points will be awarded based on the size of the field. Certificates will be awarded to the winners on a session basis each day and to the overall winners. In addition to the certificates (which will be sent by email to the winners and will also be available on the page "Certificates" of this website), the overall winners may submit their photographs by email, and these will be published on the Women's pages on the WBF Website. It is also hoped to publish information on the players own Federation’s website. |
